The purpose of the Open House is to provide an overview of the City’s park system, the recent merger of The Centre with the Parks and Recreation Department, and financial history and future of the department.
Displays will showcase the City’s various parks, facilities and operations, and staff will be available to provide more information and receive feedback from visitors.
“We encourage folks to stop by the Open House and share their ideas, concerns and questions,” said Scott Caron, Parks and Recreation Director. Caron will make about a 15-minunte presentation during the Open House at about 6:30 p.m.
Caron said the public is also encouraged to call or talk to the staff anytime about parks and recreation issues. “This is just a concerted effort to share information in an informal setting,” he said.
