Thanks to the continued efforts of the South Central Regional Veterans Group (SCRVG), area veterans and community volunteers, flag poles and flags will be permanently displayed at the Armed Forces Pentagon Monument located in Veterans Memorial Park (located on Southview Dr. in Rolla).
Work on the construction of the Armed Forces Pentagon Monument is nearly completed as a few remaining bricks will be placed around the edge of the monument. The SCRVG has ordered 365 of 470 bricks for the site, leaving a total of 105 available for sale/contribution.
The bricks will be placed after all of them have been received from the manufacturer and the spring thaw allows proper drying temperatures for mortar and sealant. Landscaping and seeding also has been accomplished for the site.
