To allow easy access to the sledding opportunities on the east slopes of Ber Juan Park, the City of Rolla’s Parks and Recreation Department re-opened the parking lot at Farrar Drive and 14th Street.
The gate to the plowed parking area will be open for as long as weather conditions are appropriate for sledding.
“The steep slopes on the east side of Ber Juan Park make a great place for the public to sled and play in the snow,” said Ken Kwantes, Parks and Recreation Director. “The parking lot makes it easier for folks to use this area of the park for sledding when snow conditions allow.”
