In an effort to remove and clean up sediments
from the sediment trap in Ber Juan Lake, which is located in Ber Juan Park,
near 10th Street and The Centre, the City’s Public Works Department
began draining the lake on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Steve Hargis, Director of Public Works, said water levels at the lake
should drop about six feet, exposing a significant portion of the shoreline.
This activity, which is conducted about every 10 years, should take about two
weeks.
