Veterans (DAV) Chapter 49 Commander, Joesph Montgomery, (left), presents a $1,000
check to Jerry Bumpus, newly elected Chairman of the South Central Regional
Veterans Group (SCRVG). Also present at the Oct. 11 SCRVG meeting where the
presentation took place, is past DAV Commander, Paul Schuler (right).
The funds
will be used for the development of Veterans Memorial Park, a City of Rolla
park located on Southview Drive behind Casey’s off of Hwy. 72.
The next fund-raising
event sponsored by the SCRVG is a Luncheon to Honor Korean War Veterans on
Saturday, Nov. 3 beginning at 12-noon at Greentree Christian Church.
