Mayor Jenks proclaims January “Mentoring Month” in Rolla

Realizing that the future of Rolla, the state of Missouri, and Phelps County rests on the hopes and dreams of its children, Rolla Mayor Bill Jenks, III proclaimed the month of January “Mentoring Month in Rolla” on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Rolla City Hall.

Now in its ninth year, Mentoring Makes A Difference currently consists of 32 matches from the community at all three area elementary schools, Rolla Middle School and Rolla Junior High School.
Mentoring Month provides an opportunity to recognize and commend the efforts of local mentoring programs and their volunteers, and raise community awareness of the importance and effectiveness of mentoring.
